Product safety
This page exists because European Regulation 2023/988 on general product safety requires it, and because a buyer is entitled to know who they are dealing with.
Who sells
The VELORO shop is operated by Ultras-Sites, a Portuguese business, tax number PT306288230. For any safety question, write to the address shown on the Contact page. We reply within 48 working hours.
Manufacturers and responsible persons in the Union
Every product page carries a “Safety and product information” block showing the product identification, the manufacturer and, where the manufacturer is established outside the Union, the responsible person in the Union. Where that information is not yet published, the page says so plainly: it has been requested from the manufacturer and goes online on receipt. We would rather write “we do not have it yet” than display a name we have not verified.
Reporting a safety problem
If a product bought from us has a defect that could cause injury, write to us with the product reference, the order date and a photograph. We acknowledge receipt, we suspend sales of that product while we check, and we warn other buyers if the defect is confirmed. You can also report an unsafe product to your national authority through the European Safety Gate portal.
Withdrawal, warranty, returns
You have 14 days from delivery to withdraw, without giving a reason. The legal guarantee of conformity is 2 years in the European Union. Full terms, including who pays for the return, are in the terms of sale and on the Returns page.
Electrical devices and batteries at end of life
Electrical and electronic equipment must not go in household waste: take it to a WEEE collection point. Batteries are collected separately — a lithium battery thrown in the bin can catch fire in a collection lorry. Your local authority lists the nearest collection points.
What we do not do
We do not show invented stock countdowns, fabricated customer reviews, or an average rating while there are no real reviews. A figure shown here is a figure we can evidence.
